
Four Held After 13-Year-Old Girl Allegedly Raped in Jharkhand Forest
In a chilling incident that has sent shockwaves through the Jaldega region, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped while returning from a wedding ceremony late Tuesday night. Police have swiftly moved to detain four individuals , including three minors, in connection with the brutal assault.
The harrowing ordeal took place within the jurisdiction of the Jaldega police station . According to official reports, the victim was walking home from a nearby wedding celebration accompanied by a friend. As they traversed a quiet stretch of road, they were intercepted by a group of four.
The victim’s statement reveals a terrifying sequence of events: the main accused and three other minors allegedly overpowered the girl and dragged her into a nearby forest . While the victim’s friend managed to escape the clutches of the attackers and flee for safety, the young girl was subjected to a horrific assault in the deserted woodland.
The perpetrators reportedly abandoned the victim in the forest following the crime.
Speaking on the progress of the investigation, Police Station In-Charge Jitendra Kumar confirmed that law enforcement acted quickly following the victim’s complaint.
"We have detained four individuals, including the primary suspect , for interrogation," Kumar stated. "The victim has provided a detailed account of the incident. Strict legal action will be initiated based on the outcome of the interrogation."
